ASUS Eee PC Touch T91 demo video, Is it really that slow ?
Like I have mentioned in the last posting that maybe this Asus Eee PC Touch T91 demo video could be one of Apple Ipad’s competitor. and I also has shown the Asus Exclusive TouchSuite which is a special built -in program that coming with Asus Eee PC Touch T91. I have read some comments about this Asus Eee PC Touch T91 and one of a major comment on this Asus tablet is that it is very slow. Based on Intel Atom 1.33GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 16GB Solid State Drive, and Windows XP home OS and a price not over 500 USD I think we have to consider this tablet as a netbook tablet not a graphic tablet. So, Is ASUS Eee PC Touch T91 netbook too slow ? I think It’s acceptable. (Actually there is another model for this with 32 GB SSD click here) You should decide by yourself, by watching this ASUS Eee PC Touch T91 demo video and please tell me what you think ? I bought this tablet. Performance is definately an issue on XP. Every app is slow to load and the native Asus fun touch dashboard is useless. I like the idea of this computer but it’s under powered and in it’s current state a complete waste of $$.
Despite what this video says there is a FireFox extension to allow touch controls:

I own Windows7 but I think I’m going to install the Ubuntu and run a steamlined OS, with minimal apps, to salvage my investment.
In summary, one would probably be more productive on an iPhone.
