I could not be more excited for this year Black Friday 2011. Especially the war of eReader devices is very intensive. The release of the whole Kindle family attacks other eReaders companies like KoBo, Sony and the biggest company like, Apple. For the ones, I think they are very close in features and specification including the price, are new Kindle Touch 3G selling at $149 (with special offers) and the Kobo Touch WiFi at $159.97.

For this Black Fire 2011, I am pretty sure that there will be a massive discount on Kindle touch because it has been very popular and sold many devices for the last one month. It all comes to the amazing and impressive points. What I like about Kindle Touch is that;
- Kindle Touch comes with 3G with no annual or monthly fees. 3G allows you to download books where every you like, unlike Kobo‘s connectivity is only WiFi.
-Kindle Touch can hold book up to 3,000 books with 4GB while Kobo can only 1,000. However Kobo has memory expansion where it can hold more book up to 30,000 eBooks a 32 GB microSD memory card. Anyway, I do not mind with the ability of holding book in the device since we can download via USB to the computer. And of course they both have USB.
-New upgrade Kinder Touch has really great supporting service by Amazon (which I really like), such as “Kindle Owner’ Lending Library”, Borrow Library Book from public Library, Free Cloud Backup 5GB free and much more. these allows you enjoy and gain benefits and experience from own the Kindle touch. Kobo does not offer as much as Amazon does.
-Battery Life with wireless off, Kindle touch lasts for 2 months while Kobo is only 1 month.
-Features – Kobo looks more stylistic and nicer than Kindle. Kobo is the winner weighing at 6.5 ounces while Kindle Touch is at 7.5 ounces and size of Kindle is a bit bigger.
-supported Files Formats: Kobo has more supporting formats which are EPUB, PDF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, TXT, HTML, RTF, MOBI, CBZ, CBR while Kindle Touch has mainly use Kindle formats and AZW, AZW1, TXT, MOBI, PRC, AA, AAX, PDF.
Verdict : for me I like Kindle Touch more than Kobo Touch because of the services and offers. It does not really bother me about the micro SD card and more formats it can support. The main important point is that Kindle Touch is from Amazon, a giant retail books and anything company, which in the further it may offer other interesting services or features to experiment. For this reason, Kindle touch is better.
