I hate Wired on IPad Ad !

I hate Wired on IPad Ad ! because it’s make me want to get one of the IPad which I have promise to myself that I will not buy it and continue waiting for Microsoft Courier ! I hate this Ad.

Look How gorgeous Microsoft Courier is, Can it be an Ipad Killer ? Could you wait for it instead of order Apple Ipad ? This Microsoft Courier has set to released between July – December 2010 and I think this is where the Microsoft fights Apple back.

Kindle as e-reader in Microsoft Courier ?

Imagine how great it is If you can use Microsoft Courier as e-book reader which supported by Amazon Kindle’s 3G book buying Whispernet ! Why I said something like this ? Because Microsoft and Amazon just announced about a patent cross-license agreement which gives both companies access to each others patent software technology. So it means that, right now Microsoft which have a plan to release Microsoft Courier in this year has a Kindle technology and I think maybe Microsoft’d like to put the e-book reader application “Kindle” which has a biggest online book buying support system in their greatest tablet of all time “Courier”. This is not just a dream because Amazon has start to expand their Kindle into new territory such as Iphone, PC, MAC, and also a Blackberry. Maybe this is one of the way to fight back Apple Ipad from Amazon and Microsoft.

Microsoft Courier vs Apple IPad, different customer group.

I think this two product have a different customer. If you watch the Apple IPad’s presentation video, you’ll see that most of its ability has emphasized on the word “entertainment tablet” (or bigger IPod Touch) – watch movie, play music, games, surfing, ebook reader, and a little bit of iworks.

While If you watch the Microsoft Courier presentation video, works ! is all Microsoft Courier is for – surfing the web (for research), upload quick sketch online, cut & paste materials, take a photo, drawing, personal event organizer wow wow !

I think this is an advantage point for Microsoft Courier. Even people have a laptop and IPod touch, they still want to buy a Microsoft Courier while Most of people who has already own a laptop and IPod touch feel that IPad is offer nothing new for them. Even though, you’ll see a heavy demand when Ipad open for pre-order in this month.

So Which one will you buy ? for me I am still waiting for Microsoft Courier.

Apple Ipod touch vs Apple IPad, Which one to buy ?

To anyone who has a plan for buying Apple Ipod touch, Still stick with that ? or change your mind ? Everybody said that actually IPad is notting more than a big Ipod touch with Ibook and iwork and I am totally agreed with that.

So, this is my opinion – If you already have a netbook or lightweight computer that sticks with you all the time for use as daily basis you should buy an Ipod touch because with its size and weight it’s perfect for short time surfing such as check your email or update your blog of facebook but on the other hand, because of its size made it to small for use it for long time your eyes will hurt.

But If you have not have a netbook yet I totally recommend Ipad – It will be a great netbook replacement but don’t expect your Ipad to do some serious graphic or hardcore gaming because it was not designed for that.

Microsoft Courier has lot of new features and it has a built-in camera, that’s why it will be the IPad or Ipod touch replacement ! Let’s take a look of the Microsoft Courier features and compare it with Apple Ipad.

Mutitouch screen

- While Ipad has an incredible multitouch screen, Microsoft Courier has offers more ! touch a screen with your finger to do most of the normal control and use a stylus for more precise required work such as writing & sketching (I don’t know if it has a built-in pen pressure sensor but if it has if will be superb). Microsoft Courier also has offers multi-touch screen keyboard. And because it is a booklet not tablet, you can type on one LCD and let the other LCD display your typing.

Online Journal

- Apple has offered 3G and WIFI ability in IPad but the purpose of Ipad’s online connection is for surfing the web and buy online contents from Itunes or we can say that Apple tablet is the online media tablet. Unlike the Courier that has offers this online ability for working & research. You can surfing the internet cut some pieces from the web page (I mean the real cuts by using your stylus) sketch on it and then upload to your online journal which your colleague can access it and write what their think on your sketch instantly ! Also, You can do the same with your picture, Because Courier has built – in camera you can take a picture or video and then draws some ideas on it and then upload it ! while you cannot do this with Ipad because it do not has built in camera.

Beside of this, Microsoft Courier also has offered the same ability as Apple IPad such as e-book reader, video & music player and ability for more add-on program later which will initiated by Microsoft.

To conclude, I think people who are work in a field that require to write and sketch such as artist, designer, architect, event organizer , student, lecturer will  love the Microsoft Courier to use as one of their daily life gadget while Ipad will be some kind of more like entertainment tablet.

Which one will you buy Apple Ipad or Microsoft Courier ?

I will definitely go with Microsoft Courier ! Based on its several presentation videos, with its  several fresh & new features, I think Microsoft Courier has brings a new perspective to tablet computer While Apple Ipad only offered the Ipod touch or Iphone “upgrade” version with iwork ability, ibook, with the bigger screen and 3G. It’s kind of like the 4th generation Ipod touch than a fresh new product.

Don’t get me wrong here, The Apple Ipad is very tempting, especially for someone who has not been use the Apple product before. This Apple IPad is a very good strategy to invite many people to the Mac world.

But for someone who is already Mac customer, Who already own Macbook or IPod Touch and looking for a fresh new perspective of Apple product they will get some disappointing. While with some kind of designer sketch book replacement features or digital organizer notebook “Microsoft Courier booklet” has brings high hope for someone who looking for a new approach of tablet computer.

So, In my opinion if you are planing to buy a netbook or switching into Mac world, Apple IPad is a perfect choice for you. But If you looking for something new. Maybe waiting to see all of coming tablet and booklet this year is better choice.

The unveiled of Apple Ipad has shown the world about what is modern tablet should be and there are still more to come. Like I have mentioned in several posts I think the Apple Ipad’s customer is people who is use their computer for the daily life basis such as surfing the internet, read some online article or e-book, watch picture & movies, listen to music, play leisure game, and work with iwork application. I believe this is a very hugh group of (Who will be) the Ipad’s customer.

Or we can say that Ipad will become the netbook replacement and not interest in the graphic working related issue at all (yes I think you can use Ipad’s Adobe photoshop application but without stylus I don’t think it’s works and including the very low speed of 1GB processor I don’t think Apple consider their Ipad as graphic pad).

But several months ago, while Apple Ipad still named Itablet, Apple tablet, Mactablet etc. Microsoft also has launch a very interesting demo video for the tablet named “Microsoft Courier”. In that presentation Microsoft has shown several things that will really change the world of graphic tablet. This Microsoft Courier works as your “online” sketchbook which every designer use this kind of sketchbook all the time. But It will be really great If it is not only a sketchbook but also the link to the internet world.

So It is very clear now that this two world leading computer company Apple & Microsoft will not fight each other. In the tablet market IPad will be the winner and in the graphic tablet market Microsoft Courier will be the winner.

For me as I use Macbook Air due to my regular basis, I think I’ll pass Ipad and wait for the Micrisoft Courier. How about you ?
