If you ask me I think Graphite Kindle DX is the last E-ink screen e-book reader from Amazon, Kindle 3 will come with color reading screen, perhaps with more of tablet characteristics – full web surfing supported, touch screen, multimedia reader such as penguin book demo , Course smart reader, or Wired e-magazine demo. So if you are looking for old style lookalike real paper ebook reader, Graphite Kindle DX may be your choice than Kindle 3. But if you are really into new media world, perhaps Kindle 3 (or IPad) is more and more perfect choice for you.

What do you think, Should you buy this new Black “Graphite” Kindle DX ? with new price @ 379 USD ? The lower price Black Kindle DX might be very attractive (with 100 USD saved if you bought this Black “Graphite” Kindle DX) for Kindle buyer but should you really buy it ? The improvements for Black “Graphite” Kindle DX are 50 % higher contrast and twitter and facebook built-in, and that’s it !

So here is my suggestion, If you want to buy Kindle DX, how about looking for the previous white Kindle DX global wireless 2nd generation model which is right now “new” is only 359 USD !, used White Kindle DX global wireless 2nd generation is starts from 325 and White refurbished Kindle DX global wireless is only 299 USD ! Or how about looking for cool tablet PC that cheaper than Black Kindle DX like this

ASUS Eee Pad EP121, the question is when ?

I want to try this ASUS Eee Pad EP121 and would like to know how is it different from IPad and Kindle DX. ASUS will release this ASUS Eee Pad EP121 “soon”. Maybe “soon” is not good enough because there are more and more media table to come this year in tablet war : IPad & Archos 9 which you are already seen it, HP slate which already cancelled ?, ASUS duo panel (I still wait for it), also Crunch pad, JooJoo, and what I always want to own it “Microsoft Courier” ! This tablet war is just started ! Meanwhile , watch this ASUS Eee Pad EP121 and find how is it gonna be IPad’s killer in ASUS’s mind. You can carry it every where you go. and Most of It have some features that allowed you to surfing the net, watch new media and do some little texting via the web like facebook or twitter. If you like this you can go with the Apple family like IPad or IPod touch or try another media tablet such as Camangi WebStation, The Viliv X70EX.

Tablet netbook type – The strong point of this type of ebook reader is it is a real computer ! So beside of ebook reader you can have a whole package of computer and I believe the price of tablet netbook and multimedia tablet is very close. Perhaps tablet netbook will be more cheap ! If you interest in this I think the top three choices of this tablet netbook is Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t, Archos 9 (doesn’t have much good reputation) , and ASUS Eee PC Touch T91.

And the third choice waiting for the next generation tablet which will come in this year such as JooJoo, Microsoft Courier, Lenovo U1 Hybrid, and Crunchpad, and Asus Duo panel. For me I will wait for Microsoft courier maybe it will replace my Macbook air !
