Kindle 3 3G WiFi vs IPad, which one to buy ?
Finally Kindle 3 has open for pre-order and will delivered the first lot on the end of this August. Amazon has offered WiFi only version which very cheap 139UD and WiFi + 3G 189 USD. Compared with IPad Kindle 3 is very very cheap. IPad 16 GB WiFI only @ Apple online store is 499 USD and WiFI plus 3G is 629 USD. So If you are looking for one of a good ebook reader, which one would you buy ?
it’s very disappointing that Kindle 3rd generation isn’t comes with touch screen I think the navigator button and keyboard is so out of date and not very convenience at all. I say this because I’ve use Kindle on IPod touch for a while and I think the touch screen is very useful for page turning and also I don’t like the way Kindle’s e-ink screen turns its page by fading in black and reload I think it’s not smooth. But the Kindle 3 reading screen is very friendly to your eyes and it’s very light only 0.2 kilograms and very thin this will cause no you a problem to carry it around in your bag. 6 inch screen is too small to read ? Like I’ve said I used IPod touch to read and it’s readable. 6 inch won’t be a problem with your reading.
But with IPad there are much more, especially for e-magazine – you’ll love it ! with the full color and the page turning that feels like the read book. But with the color it’s also caused you eyes strain. If you are ok with the concept of reading from the computer screen all the time with the vivid color. IPad is definitely your choice. I don’t know If you are able to hold IPad with your one hand while you are in your bed like Kindle 3 because it is so heavy if you compared with Kindle 3.
